  1. What planet did this guy fall off of... Does this guy shop at Norm's Bargain' Barn for hardware. This would be better served advertisement as an infomercial for woman's hair products. Or better a BBQ grill that cooks and play's the ball game at the same time... What a joke...

  2. I don't know. It seems like a good microphone for the price. Especially since you only need one to record an interview.

Reviews I've read reinforce my gut feeling that the Blue Yeti would be a good "new media tool" that would facilitate
    "do it yourself" podcasting.

  3. So, this is actually the same microphone that I own and have been using to record our podcasts. It is very, very easy. From my research on it, it is one of the best USB mics you can get. To get much better quality you'd be looking at actually getting a mixing board and tons more hardware. It literally is plug and play on windows, downloads the drivers automatically, and has had pretty good sound quality for us. Now, we are still newbies and I have done very little adjusting or sound proofing to the room we use to record, so our quality could be better.

I lucked out and was able to get this mic for free from a friend of mine, however I think it runs in the ballpark of $150. I would recommend, as this gentleman does, not using the stand mic, and at least getting a pop-filter. All in all you could easily get everything you need to record for maybe $180. Not bad at all.

P.S. I'll be bringing in my mic and stand on Monday for class.
